Simpler times, how we long for them. When the farm chores were done and we could rest from a hard day's work, under God's glorious sunset colors. This quilt evokes that very theme. We can let our minds take us to thoughts of a slower, simpler, place & time. Reflecting on the fortitude of our parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Perhaps you envision '"life on Walton Mountain" just like when we enjoyed watching the wholesome show every week together.
Honoring this theme, we chose modest patchwork squares to remind us of our Mammaw's apron, and linens at her house that smelled of fresh vanilla and rising bread. The 1930's prints we selected are all actual reproductions, along with Civil War prints...brand new quilt fabrics, nothing re-purposed or re-used. So it's brand new and meticulously structured to last. Quilted in a simple grid pattern that will make it oh-so-soft when washed.
The reverse side is a coordinating marbled navy blue, "Follow the Light" pattern by Paintbrush Studios. It measures 58 inches wide x 69 inches long... a generous double-lap-size for snuggling comfort. Washable in cold water, with tumble dry low heat. Made with care & love in a non-smoking home with joyful mojo.
MountainMan fabrics are touched by Very Special hands...twin young men, plus one "mountain ma'am," that are Special Olympic athletes. If you'd like to read more about the fun in our shop, or see pictures of the process, go to www.MountainManSewing.com or Instagram @MountainManSewing406

(There's a nifty video of Mr. Colton going to the post office, below our shop reviews).
